Operation Healing Angel: Operation Healing Angel : for the months of September and October, we collected letters and cards for our long term wounded caregivers and our wounded in at the Tampa VA: the nurses and physicians (also military heroes) who care for the most serious of injuries in heroes every day with honor and grace. They are heroes themselves.
NOW we need the same for Landstuhl Hospital in Germany where our wounded first arrive...and we need them asap and continuously. Please let others know...

November 8, 2006 Launching New URGENT mission: Operation Healing Angel / Europe You have been chosen for a vital extremely sensitive military mission ! Your assignment: Grab a piece or paper, a postcard and a 39 cent stamp. You may also hand deliver cards to the address below. Use caution, care and speed. Impending Crisis: Highly classified information has been received that our wounded and their caregivers are not receiving the moral support they need and deserve from every American. They have been forgotten. We must immediately rectify this crisis and remind our wounded and their medical staff that Americans remember. This has been received directly from a medical caregiver at Landstuhl Hospital in Germany where our wounded 1st arrive for emergency treatment and care sometimes for months. Time Needed: 5 minutes and a heart Level of Danger: Negative 1000 unless you get paper cuts easily. Detailed directions: Say thanks to a wounded hero or their healing angel (a doctor or nurse or medical staff) and let them know they are not forgotten! These cards will be forwarded to our heroes at Landstuhl Army Hospital in Germany where our wounded first go and where support has been negligible. ANOTHER SUPER PROGRAM HELPING FAMILIES OF OUR WOUNDED Fisher House has homes which enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury. It is their goal to create "a home away from home" that allows guest families the opportunity to address any challenge they must face during a time of crisis with dignity, and to give them a sense that there really are those who care about them in their time of need. You have many opportunities to get involved and bless these families in need: Your gift will be used to help meet the cost of lodging for a family whose loved one was injured in Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom. There is a limit to the number of families who can stay in a Fisher House. We are committed to help provide lodging for families who must find commercial lodging, because the Fisher House is full.
Fisher House supports military personnel wounded in action and those seriously ill being treated in military hospitals in the U.S. and overseas. Your donation of "Gifts from the Homefront" certificates will ease the burden for military personnel and their families at a most stressful time in their lives. Fisher House is proud to be one of a select group of national organizations participating in special program that provides military families in need with gift certificates that can be used to buy food and staples through the commissary (the military's grocery store). Your gift help meet the basic needs of a family during a stressful time.
